Image Navigation in 3-D Space
This Windows NT-based software uses
satellite imagery and user actions to render the
image on to the
computer screen. It offers manual and auto modes of navigation. In manual mode, user can
change the viewing direction, and position of the viewer using the mouse control. In
auto mode, user first selects the route of navigation then using auto run panel starts
auto navigation. Different views, like left view, right view, rear view can be
selected during navigation in both the modes. Facility to simulate day/night
conditions, weather conditions is also available. On the basis of these variables, the
frame generator renders the scene. This software uses the powerful graphics library of
OpenGL, thereby automatically using the available hardware to enhance the
performance or otherwise emulates the functioning through software.
