Department of Defence (DoD)

DoD provides the administrative support to the three Armed Forces (Army, Air Force and the Navy) and acts as an interface between the Armed Forces and the Government. It is headed by Defence Secretary who is assisted by the Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, and other officials.

In addition, the Department coordinates the activities of  the three departments of the Ministry. It is also responsible for the defence budget, establishment matters relating to parliament, defence cooperation, and coordination of the activities.
